ZDMS Early Career Investigator (ECI) Committee
The purpose of the ECI committee is to have early-career ZDMS researchers drive the events catered to their growth and to give them a voice and representation in the greater ZDMS community. The ECI committee is comprised of graduate students, postdocs, and junior faculty. The committee is led by Wade Sugden and Antonella Lauri with Genevieve Kendall as the Executive Liaison.
Responsibilities:
Organize Early Career Investigator Events for the annual ZDMS meeting, such as selecting the topics for the career development sessions, inviting the participants, and planning ECI social event.
Help organize and offer insight on mentoring sessions at annual meeting and throughout the year.
Contribute content and ideas for a quarterly newsletter, website, and social media pages, such as comments on exciting new papers, outstanding seminars at scientific conferences, and other interesting events in zebrafish research.
Provide input for and assistance in the development of RIG webinars and workshops in coordination with RIG leaders.
