Assistant Professor in Neuroscience, West Virginia University - 8/7/2025
Position Overview
The Department of Biology at West Virginia University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track appointment in the area of neuroscience at the Assistant Professor rank. The preferred start date is August 2026.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will contribute to both the research and teaching missions of the Department. They will establish an independent and fully staffed research laboratory that expands the Department’s existing neuroscience research, including behavioral genetics, neurodevelopment, molecular genetics, and neural circuitry structure/function analyses. Areas of neuroscience such as genetics, development, behavior, evolution, systems, and cellular focused research will be considered. The candidate’s research should integrate with a Department that focuses on invertebrates, non-mammalian vertebrates, or cell culture-based model systems.
The typical teaching load is 2 courses per year plus contributions to instruction through the undergraduate and graduate research training programs. The successful candidate is expected to teach classes at the undergraduate and graduate levels that complement the Department of Biology’s current neuroscience and/or molecular genetics offerings.
Requirements
PhD or equivalent degree in biology, neuroscience, or a related field
Strong record of scholarly publications including at the graduate and postdoctoral levels
Demonstrated ability to develop an externally funded, independent research program
Openness to collaborative research
Strong potential for outstanding contribution to the Department’s undergraduate and graduate teaching and research missions
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Researchers using big data approaches, cutting-edge quantitative tools, and research in sensory or sensory-motor integration and/or neural plasticity are of high interest.

Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Yuan Lab, MGH-Harvard - 7/25/2025
Position Overview
The laboratory of Dr. Shiaulou Yuan at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Harvard Medical School (HMS) is seeking highly motivated candidates for a full-time postdoctoral research fellow position.
Requirements
Strong background working with zebrafish
PhD, MD or equivalent doctoral degree in a relevant field
Prior training in zebrafish husbandry and colony management, embryo micro-injection, embryo micro-dissection, confocal or light sheet microscopy, live cell imaging, quantitative image analysis, immunofluorescence, in situ hybridization, molecular cloning, CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing, recombinant protein, and/or human stem cell culture techniques
A passion for developmental biology, cell biology, cardiovascular biology, and microscopy
Ability to work independently and also as part of a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong work ethic and superb attention to detail
Exceptional technical and experimental skills

Doctoral Scientist in Pediatric ONCOLOGY, CLEVELAND clinic - 7/3/2025
Position Overview
A position is available to join a productive, fun lab at the Cleveland Clinic, one of the most renowned medical centers. The lab is studying animal models of pediatric blood and cancer (Nat Commun 2025, JCI 2025, Sci Reports 2025, Life Sci Alliance 2023, JCI Insights 2020). Familiarity with zebrafish breeding, genotyping, tissue harvesting, embryo injections, and drug treatment required. Cleveland is a very affordable, multicultural city with many cultural and recreational attractions with beaches and parks.

PhD or DVM with doctoral or post-doctoral experience in zebrafish breeding and injections

To strengthen our excellent team, we are looking for a research assistant (f/m/d) to support the ZANDR/Innovative cancer models lab (Innovative Cancer Models and ZANDR-Platform - St. Anna CCRI). We are using zebrafish larvae to model pediatric cancers and use state-of-the art imaging methods to investigate cellular interactions in tumor and tumor microenvironment.
